编者按

为深入学习宣传贯彻党的二十大精神，进一步推动学生党员、入党积极分子学原文、悟原理，用双语讲好中国共产党故事，英语学院党委在各学生党支部中开展“红色电台 为你广播”双语选播活动，邀请学生党员围绕党的二十大报告原文进行选播，并分享学习心得。本次推送“红色电台 为你广播｜党的二十大报告双语选播第三期”，由英语学院研究生第二党支部、研究生第十七党支部策划完成。

导语Introduction

一个时代有一个时代的主题，一代人有一代人的使命。新时代新征程的使命任务为党领导人民进行伟大斗争、建设伟大工程、推进伟大事业、实现伟大梦想提供了时间表和路线图。高质量发展是全面建设社会主义现代化国家的首要任务。发展是党执政兴国的第一要务。没有坚实的物质技术基础，就不可能全面建成社会主义现代化强国。作为新时代的青年党员，认真学习贯彻党的二十大精神是我们理论学习的责任和义务，也是我们指导实践的指南和标准。英语学院研究生第二党支部和第十七党支部联合组织策划了双语选播党的二十大报告第三期，让党的二十大精神“声”入人心。

In today’s meeting, we studied two key notions mentioned in President Xi’s Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a meeting of great historical significance. It takes place at a critical time as the Party and Chinese people of all ethnic groups embark on a new journey to build China into a modern socialist country in all respects and advance toward the Second Centenary Goal. 

The theme of this Congress is holding high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, fully implementing the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, carrying forward the great founding spirits of the Party, staying confident and building strength, upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, forging ahead with enterprise and fortitude, and striving in unity to build a modern socialist country in all respects and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts. 

As postgraduate English major students, we need to form a global vision and take an active part in telling Chinese stories to the world. This meeting is an inspiration to all of us, and we will carry forward the meeting’s spirits in our daily practice.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, an event of seminal importance for China, was convened in Beijing a month ago. I was impressed by the concept of modernization.

As President Xi enunciates in the Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, “China’s path to modernization is not a slogan, but rather a sophisticated and tractable plan for realizing the nation’s goals.” The Chinese path to modernization is specific and multi-faceted, which includes five closely intertwined components: the modernization of a huge population, the modernization of common prosperity for all, the modernization of material and cultural-ethical advancement, the modernization of harmony between humanity and nature, and the modernization of peaceful development.

I used to believe that a large sum of investment should be put into cutting-edge technologies on the path to modernization. Now, I have realized, however, that our country’s path to modernization includes various components that are intimately related. Apart from modernizing the information and communication systems, China also connects individuals and businesses in the nation’s rural areas to urban markets and the latest developments in education and healthcare, promotes economic growth and stability by supporting high-quality manufacturing and service industries, enlarges the middle-income group by expanding opportunities for high-skilled employment, and secures environmental sustainability through enhanced transportation, construction, and manufacturing.

I firmly believe in the initiative of modernization, which embodies the concept of shared and common prosperity. Our country’s strategies for development are comprehensive and concrete, and this gives a clear aim for our national development and gets each of us involved.

党的二十大报告是引领全党全国各族人民阔步迈向新征程的行动纲领和根本遵循。我们要认真学习贯彻党的二十大精神，深刻领悟“两个确立”的决定性意义，增强“四个意识”、坚定“四个自信”、争做新时代“四有”好青年。面对新时代新征程，广大青年要以党的二十大精神为指导，珍惜时代机遇、担负时代使命，在担当中尽责，在尽责中成长，勇敢做走在时代前列的奋进者、开拓者、奉献者。我们要练就过硬本领，努力学习科学文化知识，不断提高自身业务能力和素质。同时，新时代青年要把国家利益和个人奋斗有机结合，向先辈们以及优秀党员同志们看齐，领会精神做好本职工作，将所知所学运用于实践当中。

学习贯彻党的二十大精神，一是要学深吃透二十大精神。党的二十大报告内涵丰富，我通过精读报告原文，在共建活动中聆听两支部党员同学们的详细解读，联系实际梳理报告的理论逻辑，加强对新时代党和国家大政方针的把握，深刻领会二十大报告内涵，从报告中汲取前进的精神力量。二是要理论联系实际，知行合一。当今就业形势出现了很多新变化，作为英语专业的学生要坚持自信自强，守正创新，辩证看待就业形势，不断提升自身竞争力和应变能力，结合时代发展要求，找准定位，勇于突破自身，敢于探索，拓宽就业选择。

结语Epilogue

通过此次支部共建活动，两支部同学们更加深刻认识到，二十大是在全党全国各族人民迈上全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程、向第二个百年奋斗目标进军的关键时刻召开的一次十分重要的大会。广大党员要坚决按照党中央部署，全面学习贯彻党的二十大精神，不断提升自身的政治判断力、政治领悟力、政治执行力。

习近平总书记在二十大报告中对当代青年提出殷切希望：“广大青年要坚定不移听党话、跟党走，怀抱梦想又脚踏实地，敢想敢为又善作善成，立志做有理想、敢担当、能吃苦、肯奋斗的新时代好青年，让青春在全面建设社会主义现代化国家的火热实践中绽放绚丽之花。”青年人应当牢记总书记嘱托，担当新时代使命，在实现中国梦的历史接力赛中奋勇争先、激昂青春、超越自我、创造辉煌！
